The secret raid that ended with Osama bin Laden's death was unwittingly captured on Twitter – by an IT consultant who happens to live near the terrorist's compound.
Mr Athar becomes the first to report on the raid - without realising
At about 1am local time, Sohaib Athar wrote on the social networking site that a helicopter was flying above Abbottabad.
"A rare event," said Mr Athar, who runs a cafe in the town and goes by
@ReallyVirtual on Twitter.
He reported a "huge window-shaking bang" and said: "I hope its not the start of something nasty."

Hours later, President Barack Obama confirmed bin Laden had been killed.
"Uh oh, now I'm the guy who liveblogged the Osama raid without knowing it," Mr Athar tweeted.
"And here come the mails from the mainstream media... *sigh*"
Mr Athar has been inundated with requests for interviews from journalists across the globe – and gained thousands of Twitter followers in a few hours.
